“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;”
2 Corinthians 4:8 KJV
It is so easy to get tangled up in uncertain realities based on what we see rather than standing firm on what we know. Our faith and life outlook can be subject to what we percieve or pre-see around us. When in our mind’s eye things look dead, depressing, and lifeless we accept that as reality. When there is no reality in our inturpertation of what we see.
Many times we look at our circumstances and say that there is no hope and then fall into despair, which is a profound feeling that there is no hope. This digressive thinking can lead us to lack, want, need, and poverty of both provisions and of Spirit.
If we have need of something materialistic or monetary, but will do not believe that God will provide it, either through something He leads us to do or by another source, then we will lack and experience a tangible need.
If we are praying and seeking God for a healing, a breakthrough, or Salvation for one who is lost, but we do not trust Him to do what He has said HE WILL DO, then we will experience Spiritual lack.
Remember in the coldest, darkest, and dreriest times of the season there are new seeds of life preparing to push forward from their surrounding circumstances and begin life anew.
If our Spirit is not prepared to sow the seed of hope in God, then we will not have a harvest in which to reap the Blessings.
1 Corinthians 9:10 AKJV says that “…………he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.”
Remember that rich fertile soil is plowed, healthy seeds are planted with godly expectations, and then continually nurtured to maturity at which time the harvest begins.
The same practice applies to those who believe in God. We prepare our mind and heart to create a fertile foundation, plow forward, plant godly seeds with godly expectations, and then continually nurtured to maturity until the time which harvest begins.
Or in more familiar terms “You will reap what you sow”
Do not draw a final verdict by looking at circumstances. Circumstance is an undefinable, conditional term that changes based on perspective. If your circumstances look less than promising, look at them from another perspective.
I find the definition of circumstances very interesting. The Encarta dictionary defines it as….
Circumstances – a condition that affects what happens or how somebody reacts in a particular situation
If circumstances have an affect on what actually happens and on how someone reacts to a particular situation, then the reverse is also true. “What actually happens and how someone reacts is a condition that affects circumstances.”
I repeat…..If your circumstances look less than promising……. look at them from another perspective. Look at your circumstance from God’s perspective…..are they TOO BIG for Him?
To despair is to be without God.
Seek God in all of your circumstances. Take godly actions, have godly reactions, and affect your circumstances from a positive place. Meet all troubles with prayer and faith, giving God thanks with great exspectation. God delivers!
Psalm 9:10 AKJV, reminds us, “And they that know Thy Name will put their trust in Thee: for Thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.”

(13) And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.
(14) For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste , neither shall the cruse of oil fail , until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.
(15) And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
(16) And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.
