Spread the love

“That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”
Deuteronomy 30:20 KJV

Remain Open and do not place limits on God. This is advice that all of us should take to heart. Many times we will look and consider a person in the media, in the Church or community, or a neighbor or friend that is serving God in a mighty way and think “they are doing so much for God, why doesn’t He anointment me to do those things?” or “I could do that better than they did it.” Come on, we all have had similar thoughts.

God uses the body of Christ to serve in many different ways. God’s reasons for who He calls and to what He calls them to do are His own and far above my thinking.   However, I think that when we feel that God is limiting our true talents we should consider if the truer reality is that we are limiting God.  God is not limited in any way, but we can limit the degree in which He can work through us by refusing to cooperate.   God will not force us to do what He calls us to do, because He gives us the free-will to choose whether or not we will serve Him.

When we approach the throne of God and ask Him to move in a greater way in our life we must come to Him without conditions. We can not place limits or conditions on the capacity in which we are willing to serve. If we say, “Lord, I want to serve you but not in this area” or “Lord, If you will let me do that, I will serve you for life.”

We are the children of God and He is our Father.  We have faith in Him and we trust Him in all things. He wants us to love and seek Him with all of our heart. He has good thoughts toward us and will call us to serve Him in a way that brings Him glory.

Keep an open mind and heart when praying. Remove all conditions and ask God to use you in whatever way He chooses. Wait for His leading and follow Him completely with all of your heart, your mind, and your soul.  I can assure you that if you will follow God’s lead your ultimate destination will be greater than anything that you could have imagined.

Do not limit God and there is no limit to what He can do through you.
