“And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” Isaiah 58:11 AKJV
“And the LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong: and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. “
IsIh 58: 11 ESV
Do you ever have days that once you sink into your special seat you feel that the burdens of your own body have lifted?
Are you aware of the deep sigh of relief that escapes your lungs?
Are there times when you are amazed that you actually made it through the day seemingly filled with insurmountable tasks?
Do you think about how cleverly awesome you are; or do you think about how awesomely blessed you are to have such a mighty God that cares about your every need?
We have all sang the children’s song “Jesus Loves Me” and the verse “Little Ones to Him belong, they are weak, but He is strong.” This is true in all relationships between God and man. It is not that He is weak when we think we are strong, but that His strength is most apparent to our blinded spiritual eyes when we acknowledge that we need Him.
When we humans are so enamored with our own superficial self it is impossible for us to see that any strength we possess is not our own, but His and His alone. When exhaustion and weaknesses creeps in and saps our energy, we must lean on the eternal strength of Almighty God. He is sufficient for all of our needs, and it is in our weakness that we will draw nearer to Him, strengthening our faith and trust in Him
If the only time we seek God, commune with God, follow God, and love God is when we are in the valley – then He will keep us in the valley. God wants us to seek Him, commune with Him, follow Him, and iove Him with all of our heart, mind, and soul regardless of whether our feet are planted in the valley or on the mountaintop.
I have found that when I am camping out in a season filled with struggle, strife, or anguish that the quicker I fall off my self appointed pedestal and land on my knees, humbly seeking Jesus, the sooner I pass through the tribulation.
Lean on God’s strength and His wisdom instead of struggling through your life alone. Be encouraged and of strong heart. Remember that there is a season for everything, but that God’s goodness is for us in this life and not only reserved for eternal life. (see Psalm 27:13-14 KJV)
God Loves You !
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say , Destroy them.
Deuteronomy 33:27 KJV
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding
(13) I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
(14) Wait on the LORD: be of good courage , and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait , I say, on the LORD.
Psalm 27:13-14 KJV
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass .
Psalm 37:7 KJV
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth : my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Psalm 16:9 KJV
