"CHANGE MY HEART O GOD”
“CHANGE MY HEART O GOD”
“A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.”
Matthew 12:35 KJV
Life is in the heart. Everyday we should ask God to cleanse our heart; and renew His right spirit within us; for out of our heart we draw life and understanding. We are instructed to “Keep thy heart with all diligence;” and it is our heart that God searches.
We are told in Matthew 15:19 KJV “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:”
But it is, also, from the right heart, the clean heart, and the healthy heart that we find love, hope, joy, compassion, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith.
In the psalms, David, asked, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:” (Psalm 139:23 KJV) We should seek to achieve such a heart state as to fearlessly and boldly ask God to search out our heart.
In Genesis God said , “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. ” “Genesis 1:11 KJV
Since God has put His seed or His Holy Spirit in us, when we are saved, then if we are operating in Christ we will put forth a spirit like His. If we are operating in His Spirit then our hearts will reflect a heart like His.
If you seek to have peace and joy rather than anxiety and anger, compassion and hope rather than hate and despair, then focus you eyes…fill your ears. store in your heart the things of God. Seek and meditate (think) on faith, compassion, joy, peace. love. pure thoughts, goodness, gentleness, and prayer. What we feed our souls with – we will reap in our mind, heart, and life.
I would like to invite, challenge, or dare – whichever motivate you to do this thing – you to pray this simple verse/prayer 3 times a day for the next 33 days.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 AKJV
Pray it – at least – one upon waking, once at midday, and once the last thing at night when you lay your head upon your pillow to sleep. If you do this, I think that you will feel and see a notable difference at the conclusion of 33 days. I think you will experience such an inner change of thoughts and feelings that you will commit to continue it as a daily practice.
Why would we want to? Because we are inundated with worldly things, demands, and temptations hundreds of times a day. We can think of this as a necessary practice for godly heart health. We have to acknowledge that there is something not right with our heart in order that we allow God to change us. Praying this verse daily will begin to raise our awareness of our heart health and it will remind us, before or after we have failed to avert the sinful things of daily life, that God will continue to prove or cleanse our heart and make us more like HIm.
In order to know God you must love, in order to love you must have a right heart, in order to have a right heart you must know God ………..
“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” 1 John 4:8 AKJV
Whether you initially believe it or not doesn’t matter – do this simple thing – you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
WIll you step up and accept the invite, challenge, or dare?

DAY 1 -33
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 AKJV
✝️❤️❤️❤️
On your calendar or agenda, for the next 33 days, draw a small cross and next to it a small heart for each time you pray this prayer – upon waking, midday, and last thing before sleep.
If you journal, as you began to experience the changing power of Christ document it so you can look back on it later.
If you don’t journal, you could draw a heart and place a cross inside of the heart to indicate those days when you feel Christ in your heart more strongly.
Do one or both, it is up to you. These are both optional, it just gives a visual record to look back on over the next 33 days.
