CREDIT GOD IN ALL THINGS
CREDIT GOD IN ALL THINGS
Always Credit God For everything.
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” 1 Peter 3:15 KJV
I usually become very aggravated when I listen to interviews or acceptance speeches where this question is posed to interviewee: “Who do you credit for your success/strength/courage, etc. ?”
The interviewee generally says something expected such as they credit their parents, teachers or their mentors, or worse still they credit themselves, and it makes me livid!
I always think of 1 Peter 3:15 AKJV “… and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope…”
The Lord God is our only reason for hope, our only means for any success, strength, or courage. He is our only source of Salvation and Eternal Life. He is the reason for all good in our lives.
We may have many human influences in our lives, but God has allowed it to be so. We may be grateful to these people and want to thank and acknowledge them, of course, but never before or greater than we thank and acknowledge God for how much He has blessed us. We may attain to great success, have much wealth and possessions, but God has allowed these achievements. God is the source of everything we have, in this life and in the Eternal, whether a believer or non-believer. Who He blesses He blesses; His reasons are His own.
I am not sure if people who respond in this manner are completely without knowledge of God’s word and believe that they are truly the maker of their own destiny, or if it is the world of entertainment, ignorant and afraid, that won’t allow glory to be given to God on their network because it might offend someone. In any case it deprives God of His glory.
As believers, we must NOT make the same mistake. We all must take our egos, our self-made man/self-made woman attitudes, and our shallow need for self-praise and give it ALL to God. Expose it before God and ask Him to right our hearts.
We are not creators. We have not created one thing. We have not created ourselves nor have we created another human being. We are creators of nothing. God, The Creator created everything from nothing; we humans only assemble from that which He has already created.
We can not to take credit if we are strong in adversity, peaceful and patient in trials, comforted in times of trouble, or have faith when facing difficulties. God is our strength in adversity, He gives us His peace and His patients in trials, He has put His Holy Ghost (the Comforter) in us which aids us in times of trouble, and our faith is in HIM when we face difficulties. We are nothing, we are capable of nothing good without God.
Deuteronomy 8:17-18 AKJV tells us clearly…
“And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
If you are asked how you are able to do any thing or give praise or credit to anyone, let your response be, “It is not of me, but by the grace of God that I am able to do these things.”
Credit God in ALL which you are blessed.
God Loves You !!!
