HAPPY NEW YEAR – HAPPY NEW LIFE

Every year we make resolutions, plans, charts, lists, or promises of things that we WILL stop, start, give up, lose, gain, accomplish, and change. Some of us will keep to these mighty proclamations for a few months, weeks, days, or hours before returning to our habitual selves. 

Most all New Years resolutions fail to succeed because we try to do them based all on us and our self-assumed abilities. 

This is the year it could be different. If we choose to put our faith in the one that keeps His Word and carries out all of His plans then we can enter the New Year with real hope. 

We can instantly shed pounds of baggage, guilt, shame, and regret. By His strength we can do and be a best version of ourselves going forward. We can make those plans and goals that will challenge us to be genuine, loving, unselfish, and courageous, knowing that all will be accomplished-God willing. 

Drop the façade, baggage, guilt, shame, blame, worry, labels, habits, failures, unworthiness, and sins to start the New Year forgiven, free, and victorious. 

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 AKJV

So no worry, you will change for the better. No one in Christ remains the same as they were before. 

Enter this New Year cleansed and without condemnation, leaving behind all shame and judgement of sin. 

We need revelation not resolutions. 

When we stand before Him, there will be no condemnation or judgement for our forgiven sins. When we repent we are forgiven of our sins. Sins which were forgiven are no longer held against us – they no longer exist. 

So today, instead of setting ourselves up for more failure by penning a laundry list of self-assessed failures and inadequacy’s of the current year, in which we plan to labor over to abolish and annihilate in the New Year, accept Christ and give it all to Him. Be completely cleansed and forgiven in one moment. Start the New Year fresh and unhindered. 

Revelation says we – the saved,- who stand at the judgment seat are judged on our works, not saved by works, but because we are saved by faith we have been called to good works. (REF. Revelation 20:12 AKJV)

So grab that pen and crisp clean piece of paper and write a list of ongoing things you can do to take this Good News, what God has done for you and what He WILL do for others that accept Him, to the world of the lost and by His grace set them free. 

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2 Corinthians 5:18 AKJV

Each New Year can be a victorious year, not in spite of life circumstances but because of them, for when we live our life in Christ we walk in victory.
