IN PURSUIT OF PERFECTION

The current social trends invite us, perhaps demand of us, that we present ourselves to the world in a perfect sort of way…even when it is a lie. 

It is no longer just the Jones’ that we are concerned with outdoing it’s perfection itself. We must appear brighter, smarter, thinner, taller, richer, and most desired to know, follow, like, and share.

Days come to an close, the party ends, the show stops, and we are left by ourselves and with ourselves. There is always that time we come face to face with One that knows we are lying. 

Now is the time to have a real heart to heart meeting with Christ. You may fool others, you may even fool yourself, but you will never fool God.

Life in this world is but a passing thought when compared to eternal life. We focus too much on fleeting  whims of daily life and not enough time focusing on the things of God. 

If we lift our gaze from our own perishable pursuits of perfection and seek to live out God’s purpose, one day we will be perfect.
