ON GOING- 33 DAY CHANGE MY HEART O GOD CHALLENGE
CHANGE MY HEART O GOD CHALLENGE – YOU GOT THIS !
The challenge is ongoing and starts at whatever time you are here. Follow along… your NEW journey begins NOW.
This is a 33 Day Change My Heart O God Challenge . If you choose to participate THANK YOU and I know you will be blessed. For 33 days you will pray a simple verse in Psalm 51:10 asking God for a clean heart and a right spirit.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 KJV
All that participate should feel some improvement in your heart health. Maybe you will be as quick to anger as you were, perhaps the hate for that person is a little less intense, or possibly you can forgiven yourself more readily. The changes happen slowly, but if you persistently pray, seek the Lord, and study His Word He will continue to change you more and more into His image.
Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought [made] a work on the wheels [stone].
And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
Jeremiah 18:3-4 AKJV
There is no magic in the words of the 33 day prayer challenge, the power is in God. When we genuinely seek Him, He will be found. When we accept Christ we will be cleansed, receive the Holy Spirit [Holy Ghost,] and eternal life. He will take the marred sinner that we are and wrought us into a new vessel.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold , all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 AKJV
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Ezekiel 36:26 KJV
SO……..How do you know you need your heart changed IF you do not know there is something wrong with it? It is certainly possible to be ill and not know it and it’s only once we are healed that we realize just how sick we were. Also, It is possible to live our lives in such a way that it is obviously sinful and yet we can be blind to it. We have to acknowledge that all is not well with our heart, that we need Jesus, in order that we will allow Him to change us.
Have you ever asked yourself…What is wrong with me? Therein may be a clue that change is in order.
Many warning about sin are on the pages of the Bible, here are a few.
Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat up there dainties. Psalm
141:4
Incline my heart unto Thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. Psalm 119;36
Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.
Joshua 24:23 AKJV
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mark 16;16 AKJV
SELF TEST – CONSIDER
Here is a little test that will perhaps shed some light and help you determine if a change in your heart is needed. If you already know there is room for improvement then use this test along with the following scriptures, Exodus 20:3-5, 7-8, 12-17. AKJV, for further enlightenment.
Sometimes we can become so used to how we think and how we act that we are blinded from seeing the sins within us. We are all sinners and need God every millisecond of every day.
Ask yourself the following questions…consider them and answer honestly.
– Do you hate anyone? Do you REALLY not like someone? Have you ever felt better about yourself when someone specific or anyone misses the mark, back-slides, or fails? Have you ignored someone else’s need when you were capable of helping? Do you have a true relationship with God?
Here are 10 More.
1. Do you practice any religion other than Christianity; honoring and paying tribute and ritual to any other Biblical person, mythological or man made god, or spiritual belief system? Do you seek out horoscopes, fortunetellers, or psychics? Do you count on fate, luck, or karma?
2. Do you have pictures, statues, symbols, stones, crystals, or other physical items that you keep for their supposed spiritual properties or protection? Do you kneel before them? Do you pray to them?
3. Do you profess to be or act the part of a Christian, speaking of or calling on God -Christ Jesus-Holy Ghost/Spirit, but know that it is a false persona you present in the right settings and for the wrong reasons?
4. Do you set aside the sabbath to honor and praise the Lord, ? Or do you use the sabbath to cut your grass or clean your house because you didn’t get it done the other 6 days of the week?
5. Do you give respect and honor to your parents? Do you care for their needs, if necessary? (Honor and respect speaks more about the person that possesses it than the one that receives it.)
6. Have you murdered? Do you support abortion? Have you plotted and schemed the perfect plan to “off” someone – in your imagination- just for fun?
7. Have you had sex with someone else’s wife or husband? Are you married and had sex with anyone other than your spouse? Do you imagine cheating or watch pornography as a way of fulfilling you fantasy life without others finding out?
8. Do you owe a debt and refused to pay it? Have you taken money or possessions that were not yours? Have you justified to yourself why you do not believe in paying tithes and offering?
9. Have you lied about anyone for anything? Have you participated in gossip and promoted what others were saying as fact? Have you failed to take responsibility for your own actions and, instead, blamed the cause of your behavior on someone else?
10. Do you envy what someone else has, – success, money, home, spouse, luck, looks – while complaining and harboring discontent with what you have?
(Reference Matthew 22:37-38 and Exodus 20:3-5, 7-8, 12-17)
If you answered yes to ANY question – then you need a Heart makeover.
SIN is choice… Sin IS choice… SIN IS A CHOICE.
No matter how you say it, it is still true. Sin is sin whether we acknowledge it or not. The difference is when we call sin sin and we accept Christ, He will wash away our sins in an instant. But when we are sinners and refuse to treat sin as sin, then we will bear that sin for an eternity.
We can be so determined to be “us” that we have little regard for any authority – even God’s authority – and we do not want anyone telling us what to do. Proverbs 6:23 AKJV says:
“For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:”
Sin is the difference between spiritual life and spiritual death. It is a matter of the heart.
The Sinner (one who sins, one that hates God) is held to and judged by the Commandments because he/she refuses Christ and is therefore under the law.
The Saved (one who accepts Christ and is forgiven, lives under grace, is a child of God, and loves God) willingly holds to the Commandments because they love God and the Commandments are written up on their heart to do – out of love.
You can think of the Commandments as a measure by which the sinner is punished, and a chosen way of life for the Christian.
To fully experience the changing power of Christ continue to seek Him, accept Him, and live your life for Him.
Continue to pray Psalm 51:10 His Word is powerful and He will create a NEW heart and SPIRIT within you.
GOD LOVES YOU !!!
