STEWARDS OF THE WORD
STEWARDS OF THE WORD
One that assumes the position as the representative of Christ, be it Pastor or individual Christian, they become a steward of God’s Word.
It is the obligation of those that refer to God’s Word to KNOW God’s Word and speak it purely without altering it to the absolute best of their ability.
We are stewards of The Word and are told not to rob the poor just because he is poor. Poor doesn’t only me material riches. Poor can refer to poor in Spirit or lack of knowledge.
When those that share the gospel in hope to open the eyes of the blind or enlighten the darkened spirit it is all for the glory of God and not self.
When those claiming to share the gospel twist the Word of God and feed the people an altered truth, that supports their own agenda, or they tell people what they want to hear- they rob the poor in Spirit.
Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that steal my Words every one from his neighbour.
Jeremiah 23:30 AKJV
No person is to use the Word of God to plunder the spirit of the lost and profit himself.
Ye shall not add unto the Word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Deuteronomy 4:2 AKJV
If we are to be true stewards of God’s Word we must continue to sit at the feet of Jesus and seek His truth and diligently pursue His wisdom.
To be a good steward of God’s Word stay connected to the source. Study His Word and continue to share the Gospel. Acquire wisdom so others do not lead you astray.
Lord, tether my heart to you. May I seek to be a good steward of Your Word and the mission you have given me to do. May all that I do glorify you. Amen
GOD LOVES YOU !!!
