THE LIGHT OF LIFE

THE LIGHT OF LIFE

If the wealth of talent and wisdom which we possess is kept a secret -how can it benefit us or anyone else ?

We all have our strengths, wisdom, and talents, but these are given to us to share with others so that they may benefit from that which we were given.

When we enter into a relationship with Christ we have valuable knowledge, soul saving knowledge, that must be shared. We are ordained to be Christ’s disciples and share the gospel.

The term Gospel may sound archaic but it simply means to teach the revelation or truth of Christ. It is to tell the true purpose of His life, death, and resurrection.

It is written in Matthew 5:16,
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

We are to shine bright and lead others from darkness into the light.

There can be many reasons we hesitate or don’t share Christ with others. There is the fear we will be judged, rejected, railed on, ridiculed, ostracized, or worse.
Many of these don’t actually happen.

In general, if the person is closed off and refuses what we say it is simply met with a glazed stare, a a rebuttal of – “Whatever.” or “ That’s what you believe, but not necessarily what I believe.”

It is possible we may hear something more explicitly direct, but that doesn’t change the fact that they have heard what we said. When we speak His Word it is never wasted. It is a seed of truth planted that He will use to accomplish His means in His time.

If we remember that we do not personally possess the power to force anyone to accept Christ or change them, but rather that we are the vessel He has chosen to work His power through, it removes the pressure and feelings of failure when that person doesn’t immediately respond as we would like.

It is written in Isaiah 55:11,
so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

There is a term used by writers, “Show don’t tell.” It means to tell the story in such a way that it evokes and allows the reader to learn from and experience the emotions of the story rather than being told what to think and how to feel.

If we want our witness to be effective we must share God’s Word without judgement and live our life in a way that reflects His truths.

If we speak one truth and live out another in our life we will not be effective.

Be a light of life and shine bright. Share the gospel with others, without fear, and leave the power to save and change the lost to Christ.

GOD LOVES YOU !!!❤️

OTHER:

Show, don’t tell is a technique used in various kinds of texts to allow the reader to experience the story through action, words, thoughts, senses, and feelings rather than through the author’s exposition, summarization, and description.
