COURAGE HOPE AND EXPECTATION

COURAGE HOPE AND EXPECTATION

COURAGE HOPE AND EXPECTATION

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Joshua 1:9 AKJV

This is such a comforting scripture. It gives not only courage but, also, hope and expectation.

When we find ourselves at a particular junction in life, one that we are either not familiar with at all or perhaps one we are way too familiar with, we may be overcome with fear, panic, and or anxiety.   We may become paralyzed by these feelings. We may go into denial and not handle the situation very well. We may turn inward with self-hate and self-sabotage.

This scripture tells us to be strong and of good courage (strength, bravery), it tells us not to feel afraid (worry), or dismayed (anxiety and distress).

Why? Because our minds will focus on our  difficulties and troubles, robbing us of our faith, our strength, and our courage.

This scripture gives us hope and expectation because God is our source for strength and courage. He has promised to be with us wherever we go and through all of the trials we will be called to endure.

I pray that in whatever life situations or circumstances you are dealing with you will have unfailing faith in Christ and, through Him, a replenishing supply of strength, courage, hope, and endurance.

May you place your faith in Christ and be continually replenished in the knowledge of the living word through prayer and scripture.

Blessings.
