The first step to eternal Salvation is simply to repent (a change of your mind regarding sin and then turning from it), and by faith asking Jesus Christ into your heart. 

Hold on to your repentance and your faith even when doubt (satan) trys to steal it from you. 

If you want real change in your life then there must be a Real Change in you, change that only Jesus Christ can give you.
