Are you embarrassed for others to think you are a Christian?  Are you ashamed of God? Your initial response may be “NO. Of course not, I would never deny that I am a Christian. It’s part of who I am as a person.”

That can be true or it can be equally true that Christian is just a label. An acceptable label around certain groups, or a status symbol, or a means to gain others trust.

What do you really believe?

Do you present your Christian face in relevant circles while in public and a different sinners face behind closed doors?

Have you ever not said something about God or your faith because you were afraid that you might offend  someone, be perceived as politically incorrect, or thought to be foolish?

Have you ever ignored the urging to offer to pray with someone because you feared that they would reject you?

Have you ever chosen not to share  a wonderful blessing that you have received  from God because you believed that others will think you are “religious,” or ignorant, or that they would be judgmental toward you?

Have you ever held back from liking, sharing, or commenting on a Christian posts, within social media, because you don’t  want your FB friends to believe that you think like that or that you are …one of those people?

Have you ever purposely not worn or displayed any religious symbols, such as a Cross,  because you did not want others to think it represented more to you than just a object?

Do you preach to others that all they need is faith but you don’t walk in faith yourself?

Do you tell others that prayer works but seldom engage in prayer?

Do you encourage others to make personal time with God but you do not have Him in your daily schedule?

Do you profess to the lost that God has a plan for everyone and that they should seek to follow it – while going about life according to your own agenda?

What a person truly believes and who they really are will play out in their true character and actions, even while what they say doesn’t line up with that truth.

Be honest and Consider…

And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. Luke 9:23 AKJV

32. Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven.
33. But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven.
34.  Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a *sword.
Matthew 10:32-34 AKJV.       *The Word

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Romans 12:2-3 AKJV

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 1:16-17 AKJV
