It seems that wherever we look people are publicly shredding each other apart on social media… but it happens in everyday life as well.
It is as if there is an inner pride that puffs up when these individuals manage to one up or verbally rip someone apart that they don’t agree with…and if there are witnesses- even better.
This is heartbreaking. We are all individuals trying to navigate through life and, in many cases, just to survive.
There are so many hurting people in this world. The person you see across from you, you DON’T KNOW what they have or are going through. You do not know their story.
We all have a story, whether we hide it behind a smiling or disgruntled expression. We all carry scars and bruises from the hurtful things we have endured.
Refuse to respond to others in a knee jerk reaction of anger and judgement. Examine your motives behind your anger and judgement and consider the brokenness behind theirs.
Instead of pointing an accusing finger – offer them a hand in friendship to lift them up, pray for them, and introduce them to the saving grace of our Lord.
We walk life on the frailties of a given moment. We were created to give hope and strength to one another – this is love.
Choose to walk in love.
